P4 SMD LED Screen Installation
A real-world project completed under an exceptionally short deadline during Eid holidays — from steel structure and power wiring to P4 module installation, Huidu configuration, an unexpected P5 shipment and an early-morning final delivery.
This project was about more than installing an LED screen. It was about delivering the correct specification, solving unexpected supply problems and completing the work before a critical next-day site visit — while the installation was being executed during Eid holidays.
Project Overview
LUMAX was assigned the installation of a P4 SMD LED screen at DHA Phase 5 Head Office. The project covered the steel support structure, electrical preparation, LED module installation, control-system configuration and final testing.
The display used GKGD P4 SMD LED modules, 5V 40A power supplies and a Huidu LED control card that could be configured and operated through a mobile application.

GKGD P4 SMD Modules
The display surface was assembled using GKGD P4 SMD LED modules, installed and aligned as part of the complete display assembly.
5V 40A Power Supply
The LED system used 5V 40A switching power supplies with dedicated power wiring and distribution preparation.
Huidu Control Card
A Huidu LED control card was used for the display control and configuration system.
Mobile Operation
The Huidu setup allowed practical mobile-based operation and configuration of the LED display.
The Challenge: A Very Short Eid-Holiday Deadline
The screen had to be completed before the next working day, while the installation was taking place during Eid holidays. This left the team with a very limited working and procurement window.
The complete installation had to be finished before the next working day.
The team continued coordination and installation throughout the holiday period.
How We Completed the Project
Steel Frame Installation
The support structure was prepared and installed first so the LED display assembly could proceed efficiently.
Power Supply Wiring
Power wiring and distribution were prepared using the specified 5V 40A power supplies.
P4 Stock Shortage in Islamabad
The team discovered that sufficient P4 module stock was not available locally in Islamabad.
P4 Modules Arranged From Lahore
To protect the deadline, the required modules were urgently arranged from Lahore and transported to Islamabad within a few hours.
P5 Modules Arrived Instead of P4
When the shipment was checked in the evening, the team discovered that P5 modules had been sent instead of the required P4 modules.
Correct P4 Modules Arranged Again
Because P5 was not the specified product, the team arranged the correct P4 modules again rather than install the wrong pitch.
Final Installation, Huidu Configuration & Testing
With a high-level delegation expected the next morning, the team completed the P4 installation, configuration and testing during the final available hours.
The P5 vs P4 Problem
The most critical moment came in the evening when the urgently sourced shipment was opened. The project required P4, but the delivered modules were P5.
Installing P5 on a P4-specified project was not an acceptable substitute. The team immediately worked to arrange the correct P4 modules again and continued the installation into the early morning.

Huidu Control Card & Mobile Operation
After the correct P4 modules were installed, the display was configured through the Huidu control system. The Huidu control card connected the display to the control workflow, while the mobile application provided convenient access for operation and configuration.
This setup makes day-to-day management more practical because the display can be managed without physically accessing the LED modules for every operation.
Final Configuration & Testing
Once the correct P4 modules arrived, the team completed the remaining installation, configured the Huidu system and carried out final display testing. The objective was to deliver a working, configured and tested P4 LED display, not simply a physically installed screen.
Final Result — Delivered on Our Word
Despite the Eid holiday schedule, limited time, Islamabad stock shortage and the last-minute P5 shipment problem, the correct P4 SMD LED screen was completed in the early morning before the scheduled high-level delegation visit.
