Why Viewing Distance Matters
The same LED screen can look pixelated when viewed very close, but appear smooth and sharp from farther away. The tool uses your selected distance to explain the practical viewing zone.
Individual LED pixels become easier to distinguish. Fine pitch is normally preferred when people regularly stand close to the display.
At an appropriate distance the pixels visually blend together and the content appears cleaner and more natural.
At longer distances, individual pixels become difficult to distinguish. A coarser pitch can therefore be practical when the audience is far away.
Smaller pitch means more pixels per square metre and generally better close-range detail, but it can increase project cost.
